Entry from: Tangier, Morocco Entry Title: “Living Tangierously” Entry: “Today Jen and I got up at the crack of dawn to fly to Tangier. The flight almost got off without a hitch, except it was delayed by an hour with–what else–baggage issues (Easyjet after all). Anyway, we got to the room ok, and our place is really nice. It’s a riad, which is like a ‘garden’ compound. It’s actually a house with a hollow centre and rooms on each floor. The entire place is covered in tile mosaic. While we waiting for our room, Jen and I had mint tea. It was delicious. After, we explored the medina which is the old part of the city. This super aggressive man kept following us around and trying to act like our tour guide but we wanted to be left alone. He was saying a few things I found really ironic, like, ‘there are good people and there are bad people’ and ‘if I leave you alone, you will get annoyed by other people’ and ‘I’m not a tour guide’. It was ironic because a) he was annoying b) he was trying to give us a tour and c)he turned out to be a bad person. When Jen and I made it clear we wanted to be left alone and wouldn’t pay him to follow us around, he got so angry: “fine! Then just give me a kiss on the lips!” and when we refused, “Are you two lesbians? I bet you are going to have sex with each other!” It’s …
